Travel around the world on a Glam itinerary: Australia, Tokyo, Barcelona, São Paulo, overland to Rio de Janeiro, then Lima, San Salvador, Cancún, Los Angeles and home to Australia.
Don't forget to pack your party shoes. Expect outrageous escapades and concoctions galore, let loose and come back needing a holiday. This one's not for the faint-hearted! Hit Cancún for Spring Break, dance the samba at Rio Carnival, check out Tokyo's red light district and refuel on tasty tapas when the sun rises in Barcelona.

Time it for Carnival
The order of this route works if you leave in late January. Rio Carnival 2027 falls in the second week of February, with the big samba school parades at the Sambadrome on the nights of 7, 8 and 9 February. From there, Lima and San Salvador take you north in time for Cancún's spring break season in March.
The overland leg
São Paulo to Rio is about six hours by bus, from the Tietê terminal to Novo Rio, and several companies run it through the day.
Eat well in Lima
Lima has Central, run by Virgilio Martínez and Pía León, which was named the best restaurant in the world in 2023. Its tasting menu travels through Peru by altitude, from below sea level to 4,200 metres in the Andes. Book well ahead.
